The safety of all participants is key to our club and we aim to provide a fun, inclusive environment where members can develop their skills and fitness.

The Swim England organisation provides useful information for children, swimmers and parents on the topic of safeguarding and welfare.

If you have any safeguarding concerns then you can contact the club’s welfare office, Norman Thompson, or access Swim England’s list of safeguarding contacts via their site.

If you have an urgent concern about a child at risk and you are unable to contact the Welfare Officer, then contact the Swim England Safeguarding team on 01509 640700 (Option 1 for Swim England and then Option 3 for Safeguarding). Please leave a message if the team is unavailable and they will get back to you as soon as possible, otherwise, you can contact the NSPCC on 0808 800 5000.

If a child or adult is at immediate risk, then you should contact the police or local children’s services.

In the case of immediate danger, the call 999 and for non-emergencies 101
